"Hank" was a 1982 Paint gelding that I purchased as a three year old. After several years of success in the breed and open show ring in all types of events, we decided to give driving a try. Little know that this would turn into a life long love of all things carriage driving!
Hank was the 1995 and 1996 APHA Honor Roll Champion in OCAP(PAC) driving; for many years he was the lifetime point leader in that event. He was the first horse to earn the Certificate of Recognition in the event and has points in over ten events in APHA, as well as multiple driving championships in open shows. He also earned the 1000 Hour Award in APHA's Ride America program.
Hank went on to a new home in 2003 and had a very sucessful show career with his new owner; sadly she lost him in October of 2003. He was a great ambassador of the Paint breed for carriage driving and was well known around our area. We loved him and miss him every day.
