As I said, not a western pleasure moving horse, but she could look the part (that jog was killer though!!)
This is now where our house sits...many happy hours spent riding here and on the hundreds of acres available to me when I was growing up.
My love of spotted horses began with the grade Pinto mare my father purchased for me in 1972 - for $100! Her name was Queen and at 15 years old she was a perfect kids horse!
We did some local shows in the area, showing gymkhana events (she was NOT a pleasure horse!). This mare taught me SO much which paved the way for my future successes.
Even a hundred dollar horse can win in the shows!
One of my favorite photos; Queen and my faithful riding companion Hokey.
This photo was taken in 1973 - love the outfit, complete with saddle shoes!
The cute face that met me every morning at the fence!
